There are times in our lives when even the strongest and bravest among us need support.

Because true belonging only happens when we present our authentic, imperfect selves to the world, our sense of belonging can never be greater than our level of self-acceptance.

Women's Wellness & Maternal Health

The journey into motherhood invites us to experience intense love and joy, but it also touches our most raw and vulnerable parts. We may experience worries of not being good enough or fears of losing our identity. I understand how difficult it can be to take time for yourself when you feel overwhelmed and sleep deprived. But I also know that taking the time now to increase self-awareness can move you beyond survival and transform your experience of motherhood. I specialize in prenatal and postpartum anxiety & depression, birth trauma, and miscarriage.

Grief & Loss

Are you experiencing overwhelming sadness, guilt, or regret? Do you feel lonely, empty or lost? Do you feel frustrated and angry when someone tells you to get over it? When you lose someone you love, it is normal to experience a mixture of painful feelings including sadness, loneliness, guilt, anger, and irritability. Having a safe, caring space to express and explore these feelings lessens their power and makes them more manageable. I feel honored to walk with you on your grief journey as you integrate your love and loss and move toward healing and growth.

Trauma and EMDR

Do you feel overwhelmed or anxious? That you are not good enough or not doing enough? Or have a feeling of unease, like something bad is going to happen? Maybe you feel vigilant or on edge and aren’t sure why.

Trauma often gets stuck in your body and mind and you can feel like you did as a child, powerless and afraid. You may work hard in remind yourself that you are smart enough and good enough, but you don’t yet wholeheartedly believe it. I utilize EMDR, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, an evidence based treatment that helps you to heal from past traumas in a wholistic way so that you let go of the trauma in body and mind and integrate feelings of self-worth of well-being.

Couples & Family Work

Do you keep on having the same argument again and again? Often individuals crave intimacy, but unconsciously push each other away. It can be painful to be in a relationship where you feel disconnected and lonely. In couples therapy we work together to explore and break negative patterns, practice loving, authentic communication, and increase feelings of intimacy and trust.

Our moments of deepest and darkest grief and pain can also be a time where new growth and transformation begin.

I have a warm, accepting style that encourages you to process painful feelings and experiences and move toward healing and growth. I incorporate positive psychology and mindfulness to help clients accept themselves, challenge maladaptive thoughts, and authentically connect with those they care about. My approach is creative and collaborative - based on your unique experience, strengths and challenges - and it invites you to develop insight, connect with inner strengths and wisdom, and recreate harmony and meaning in your life.
